Does Our Current Culture Influence Our Thinking?

Segment 1 (0:00) – Was Dietrich Bonhoeffer gay? The book Strange Glory more than suggests he was a latent homosexual because he wrote affectionately to a male friend.  Let’s examine our presuppositions: has our current cultural attitudes robbed us of something God meant for good?  We may learn more about ourselves than about Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

Segment 2 (8:57) – Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a Lutheran pastor and theologian, died in prison for his part in a plot to assassinate Adolph Hitler.  Theologian Trevin Wax, who writes for Lifeway, dismantled the Strange Glory premise by putting the spotlight on our current culture and its assumptions.  Photographs of times long past on the Art of Manliness web site may surprise you, You may squirm, but no accusation were made that they were gay.
