Three Rules Poor Teens Should Follow to Join the Middle Class
Does science contradict or support the Bible in regard to race? Does the political realm effectively do anything to stop racism? Before you answer, consider that after five decades since civil rights legislation passed; racism has not gone away? One reason is we, in our fallen nature continually attempt to address the symptoms, and not the actual disease. Where the world attempts to address racism from an external perspective; the Bible takes a different approach and it’s found in the Gospel. Christian principles applied to a culture will have general benefits, but this cannot be the only reason why we stand behind them; if we do, just as the world we are only addressing the symptom, and not the disease. Christianity is more than mere sociology, it is more than phycology; we are able to address issues in a way that has a lasting and greater result, and is not merely a band aide fix for the larger issue at hand.
Segment 1 (0:00) – Will racism always be an issue? Where do the different races come from if we truly are all descendants from Adam and Eve? These questions can all be addressed within understanding the noetic effects of the fall . However, there is much more to the issue than simple prejudice against those who are “not like me…” Referenced verses: Acts 17:26.
Segment 2 (8:07) – There are both external, and internal solutions to racism; which one does the Bible address? When we understand that racism is nothing but sin the answer becomes clear. As we come to understand our sin nature we will better be able to deal with our own self-righteousness. Furthermore, as the Bible specializes with sin problems the answer becomes clear as we look to scripture. Referenced verses: Galatians 3:26-28.
Segment 3 (17:34) – How does Biblical marriage effect our culture? Should we be defenders of marriage simply because it is good for people, and society? Is it true that children living in a home with both a mother and a father are healthier and happier throughout their life? We must understand that the solution to issues we face in the world today such as racism, “kids gone wild” and morally corrupting societies are addressed within the Bible.
