Anger Does Not Get All the Credit It Deserves

Do you have to say a word to be buried beneath sinful anger?  Masking it with pretty or soft words does not change it for what it is … sin.  If you are trapped in anger; understand that you are not only in sin but damaging every relationship that you are in.  Stop calling anger other names and remember what it actually is … sin.  God wants to get inside and fix you, He wants to grow you, so that you are not angry, but instead to grow in holiness.

Segment 1 (0:00) – Do you have the sin of anger?  We too often have the tendency to soften the issue of anger as an actual sin.  Perturbed, frustrated, grouchy are all simply forms of anger.  Even our less dramatic forms of anger are still anger; which is sinful.  Referenced verses: James 4:2, 1 John 3:15.

Segment 2 (9:27) – The one time naming it and claiming it is in fact, Biblical!  Are you willing to call sin what it is?  Are you willing to identify yourself as a murderer?  God wants you to identify what your issues are, repent and grow from your failure.  God continually grows us through our sanctification.  It may not always be pretty, but it will always be humbling and educational.

Segment 3 (17:25) – Underneath your sin of anxiety, or anger is buried an even nastier issue: that of self-righteousness.  We have great news for you though as you sit in your self-righteousness.  Let’s dig into the source of the issue; into our depraved hearts.
