The Best Thing You Can Do For Your Child

How much control do we have over our own lives?  This is a crucial principal to understand and submit to bring a greater understanding of God.  However, we must watch ourselves closely while teaching them this lesson; letting them know that we too are under this same submission and authority of God.

Segment 1 (0:00) – What is the best thing you can do for your child?  Look to the Bible; consider how it both begins and ends with authority.  This brings the questions to mind; will I submit to Biblical authority?  Do you view God alone as your Commander and Chief?  Are you passing this principle on to your children?  Teaching them early that none of us are the master of our own creation nor of our fate is vital.

Segment 2 (8:31) – No one has as much freedom as they believe they do.  Authority is good for us; it has been put in place by God for our own good.  What type of authority did God instill within us?  What is that nagging feeling that we all get when we rebel against what we know is right?

Segment 3 (15:59) – Opposed to what the world teaches us; rejecting authority is rejecting God.  In addition, teaching our kids that rejecting authority is good; is preparing them for a hard life, and standing alone before God in their Judgment.  A revolt is dangerous and in the end; they will not survive.
