– Episode 1460 –
On the UGA Campus Witnessing to College Students
Segment 1 (0:00) – Witnessing at UGA, Todd encounters a young man and tells him a parable of a nasty dog who has no love for his master who provides for his every need. The young man rightly identifies the master as God. Bottom line, although he claims to be a Christian, he has the post modern mindset that God would not send sinners to hell.
Segment 2 (7:47) – Andrew, a Catholic, doesn’t believe all of the Bible, but couldn’t identify with what he disagreed and attends mass only sporadically. He tries to be a good person. When asked what was the best part of his faith, he answered “love my neighbor.” However, he had not done much in that area. Todd reviewed some of the commandments with him and Andrew realized he had broken all of them. He agreed God, a righteous judge, would find the sinner guilty and send that sinner to hell.
Segment 3 (16:10) – Todd explained the Gospel to Andrew and emphasized that works do not save, but that repentance and faith were required for salvation. Andrew was a pleasant young man, answering all of Todd’s questions, and said he had been saved as a 7th grader and loved God with all of his heart.
