– Episode 1413 –
It Is Not Biblical to Say that God Never Gives You More than You Can Handle
Segment 1 (0:00) – Discusses the statement “God never gives you more than you can handle”. Not in the Bible. We try to water down life’s hardships. He is sovereign and He uses sin for His glory. WWUTT clip. Talks about Mark Rodriquez, who was killed by a stray bullet and how his family is handling it.
Segment 2 (8:49) – When we are weak, and God fully assists us, He gets all the credit. The world talks about the self esteem movement but the Bible does not. God uses sin, sinlessly. Jesus grieved Lazarus’s death. So it is okay to grieve and use Christ to get you through.
Segment 3 (18:50) – Talk about a book “Dad’s Delight” by Janet and Scott Wills. They had a tragedy where their van burst into flames and 6 of their 9 children died. But one of the surviving children had a large family that was musical and appeared on America’s got Talent. Gods promise that He will carry you if you are in Christ.
